This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Trade Mark paralegal based in Munich with a firm that recognises and appreciates that you’ll be an integral part of our busy Trade Mark team. The team collaborates with numerous well-known companies, assisting them in protecting their brands globally. We’re looking for a professional and enthusiastic person with a team-based approach and a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication. You would be responsible for delivering integrated case management and administration support to our Trade Mark attorneys.

Core responsibilities include:
  • Provision of administration and case management support for our trade mark attorneys
  • Diary management and ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Maintaining records, assisting with the preparation and issuance of standard letters/reports and the completion of official forms
  • Manage and respond to incoming queries from clients and prospects relating to IP, using support from other parts of the team and firm as appropriate
  • Managing incoming and outgoing emails as well as beA and postal correspondence and saving to cases
  • Preparation of invoices
  • International communication and correspondence with clients, foreign agents, offices, courts as well as our UK-colleagues
  • Carrying out and maintaining an accurate log of all delegated tasks

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
  • At least 2 years of more of trade mark paralegal experience within a professional office and the position requires the candidate to hold either a “Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte(r)” (certified paralegal) or a “Patentanwaltsfachangestellte(r)” (certified patent paralegal)
  • Experience of the filing and prosecution of EU and DE Trademark and Design matters
  • Experience of handling IP Litigation matters would be advantageous
  • Clear communication skills with a good command of the German and English language
  • Flexible to change and able to adapt to ensure the delivery of a smooth and efficient service to the team
  • Ability to work independently, manage own workload, and to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Open minded team players with a proactive attitude, who are happy to contribute to the wider team and firm
