What will you be doing?
 
You will report to the Partner who oversees our Marketing function and be at the heart of a highly successful international legal practice. We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic person with a proactive attitude, to assist with our delivery of bids/tenders/proposals/legal directory submissions whilst collaborating with our marketing team and working very closely with our attorneys.

The main responsibilities include:
 
  • Assisting on Bids/Tenders/Proposals/Pitches 
  • Coordinate pitch materials, presentations and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). 
  • Facilitate presentation preparation by assisting with creating and editing materials. 
  • Manage and maintain credential materials. 
  • Assisting on Legal directories submissions
  • Draft and coordinate legal directory submissions and award submissions. 
  • Working closely with attorneys to prep for events and conferences 
  • Collate information on clients/targets.  
  • Help fee earners focus on opportunities at conferences, speaker events and/or business trips/client meetings, ensuring targeted follow-up and demonstrating ROI. 
  • Assist in managing and promoting corporate partnerships and sector-specific memberships, encouraging attorney participation.  
  • Lead generation pipeline management CRM 
  • Manage BD elements in the CRM including deals pipeline, lead tracking and BD reporting. 
  • Encourage use of CRM best practice with attorneys.  
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to implement campaigns and deliver activities i.e. events, with a BD focus.  
  • Assisting in implementing and tracking progress of business development plans. 
  • Assisting with analysing market trends and client needs to identify new business opportunities. 
  •  Providing additional cover and support for the marketing executive/assistant as required.
 
Successful candidates will have:
 
  • Up to 4 years’ experience as a BD Executive or Assistant within a professional service firm with commercial awareness
  • A proven BD person with experience of working with senior and multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in writing proposals and bids
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload with tight deadlines
  • Experience of using Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Experience of CRM systems
